Old Man Buffet
Old Warren Buffet is at it again to buy up another company. This time it is buying up a gum company called Wrigley even though I don’t know for sure how much of it is he buying? I think even though h is proved to be pretty smart in the past he is missing out and making bad moves…risking it all on chewing gum. What is this like betting on a game of marbles for kids? Because what he can’t see because he is old is that the junk food movement is OVER and it is a new day. So before when he was getting into the Coke business or also Dairy Queen just because he likes ice cream (who doesn’t) it made since. People in those days were going after sugar at every turn and drinking cokes and eating ice cream was just another delivery system.
However the classical thinking nowadays is to be healthier, so wouldn’t it make sense for you to buy into some organic food like green beans or maybe exercise equipment? Even the Wii Fit is a way to cash in on this obvious move to better health. And I think the root of this movement is in the back of everybody’s mind they think that they are going to have government health care so everybody is like, “yo, we better stop eating all this ice cream and whip into shape.”
Most thinking people are thinking that it would be better to try for good health while they can because soon all the good doctors won’t want to work for government wages and then with taxes so high because of the new style of health care they will not be able to afford to try for good health at home. Plus it will be too late then, you know? You always hear it form older people…take care of your health because you only have one.

Ohhhh… WARREN Buffet… i thought you were posting about Old Country Buffet, i got confused when there was no description of nasty fried chicken and mac and cheese with the geriatrics. anyway, the old man only invests in companies where he understands very clearly what the products and markets are all about (like gillette), so investing in chewing gum sounds right up his alley.
